With the Profile dialog open, features in the map may be added to the profile using the Add Feature selection tool.

When the Add to Selection is active, the tool prompt box will show the following:

Only features configured to allow profiling may be selected. Either Wastewater Manhole or Pipe features can be selected.

Selecting a linear feature (e.g., a pipe) will also add adjacent point features (e.g., manholes) to the profile.

Selecting Pipe 724009 added adjacent manholes 755305 and 797686

Selection of a Manhole only adds the Manhole to the dialog when no other features persist in the dialog.

If features have already been added to the profile, and another feature is selected, a shortest path trace is performed from the first Manhole to determine if there is valid connectivity to the selected feature.

If valid, the intermediate Pipes and Manholes (Pipe 724009, Manhole 797686, Pipe 735810, and Manhole 797685) are added to the dialog.

If two linear features do not have an intermediate point feature (e.g., a manhole is missing from the map), the station will be highlighted in the profile.

When all desired features have been added, the View Profile button will display the profile view of the features.
